Recipe for homemade Bavarian bread dumplings:
You will need:
250g LEIMER bread cubes (one package), 250 ml lukewarm milk, 1 onion, 30g melted butter, 3 eggs, parsley, salt and pepper.
It'sas simple as this:
Place the bread cubes in a large bowl and pour the lukewarm milk over them, stir and leave to soak for 10 minutes. In the meantime, sauté the finely diced onion in a little hot fat and then add it to the soaked bread cubes along with the eggs, parsley, salt and pepper, stir and leave to soak again for 10 minutes. Then form 6 dumplings with wet hands and put them into boiling water, turn down the heat so that the water is no longer bubbling and let the dumplings steep for about 15 minutes. Goes well with roast pork, poultry and goulash, Bon appétit!
