A colorful crunchy house made of gingerbread and sweets is not only a real eye-catcher, but also a nice way to ring in the Christmas season with your children. When decorating the Dr. Oetker Knusper-Häuschen you can let your imagination and creativity run wild. The gingerbread and decorating set contains 5 gingerbread pieces, colorful sugar-coated chocolate lenses, fun sugar decorations, chocolate cookies with nonpareil and various Christmas fruit gums with which you can create your very special crunchy house. You only need 150 to 200 g of powdered sugar and a fresh egg white.

And it's that easy:
How to do it:
1. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gradually stir in as much of the powdered sugar until you have a very stiff icing. 2. As a test, draw a line with a knife; this must remain clearly visible! Pour the icing into a freezer bag or disposable piping bag, close it tightly, cut off a small tip and use it like a piping bag. 3. Now the crispy house can be easily put together with this “glue”.


1. Place the base plate on the work surface. Apply icing to the edges of a triangular panel and a roof panel (narrower side down), place on the base panel and join together. 2. Cut out the door from the second triangular plate using a sharp knife, also apply icing to the edges and place it in place. 3. Apply casting to the edges of the second roof panel, place it with the narrow side down and close the house. Now the door can be coated with cast and attached. 4. To decorate with the icing, place dots on each of the gingerbread plates and use them to attach the decorations. Finally, spray small snowflakes/icicles onto the house.
