Ostmann Deer Horn Salt Baking Dough 15g bag / 0.52 oz NET. WT.
Ostmann Deer Horn Salt is a strong-acting leavening agent with a characteristic taste, which develops its loosening effect at temperatures above 60 °C in the oven. It is mostly used together with potash for flat cookies. In addition to its typical use in sweet Christmas baking, e.g. for honey and gingerbread, it can also be used in savory flat pastries.
Application: Dissolve 1 tsp Ostmann deer horn salt in 1 tbsp. water and add to the flour.
