The juicy delicacies have crunchy almond slivers and are rounded off with the finest milk chocolate. Printen are a special type of gingerbread.

The first pastries of this type probably originated in Dinant, Belgium. There, Gebildbrot were made 1000 years ago. Pharmacists first sold the pastries, as the honey and other spices were believed to have healing properties. Printen can be found in many flavors, as herb Printen, with nuts or almonds, with chocolate coating, with sugar glaze (Prinzessprinten) or with marzipan. However, the exact recipes and spice mixtures are kept secret by the Printen bakers.
