Dr. Oetker Gelling Sugar for Strawberry Jam 500g /17.6oz NET. WT.
Fruits have different acidity and water content. This gelling sugar is specially formulated for strawberries in its blend of sugar, pectins and citric acid - for the optimum sweetness, fruitiness and consistency of your jam.Without flavors. With one package you can easily and safely make your own strawberry jam from 1000g of fresh or frozen strawberries. So tasty as never before.Only 3 minutes of cooking.
Preparation:
1.) 1000 g strawberries wash, drain, hull, cut into small pieces or mushy. 2) Mix strawberries and preserving sugar in a large saucepan. Bring everything to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly, and cook until bubbling, at least 3 minutes. 3) If necessary, skim off the boiling liquid and immediately fill to the brim into prepared glasses. Close with screw caps (Twist-off®), invert and leave on lids for about 5 min.
