It's as simple as this:
Heat 750ml of water in a pan, stir in the contents of the sachet and bring to the boil. Add dried spaetzle and cook uncovered at low heat for about 20 minutes until the liquid has reduced to a creamy consistency. Stir occasionally. Sprinkle cheese on top and let melt, covered, for about 5 minutes.
The ideal accompaniment to this hearty dish is a salad.
