Mustard pickles in a jar, pickled in a spicy, tangy infusion with an aromatic mustard flavor. Mustard pickles are ripe, well-grown cucumbers that we receive from farmers starting in late September. These yellow-green cucumbers are first seasoned with mustard seeds, then pickled and cooked. There are several steps to consider during the production process: first, the fully ripe cucumbers must be peeled and deseeded before they can be cut into bite-sized pieces. They are then pickled in vinegar, among other things, and finally cooked in their own juices. Mustard pickles, like their crunchy cousins, are a dream for your figure: just 39 kcal per 100 g, they're a delicious, guilt-free snack. Depending on your taste, they can be wonderfully refined with ginger or horseradish.
