Cooled shipping
Shipping option for heat-sensitive foods, such as chocolate, pralines, etc.
We now offer this shipping option for the worldwide shipping of heat-sensitive goods at high summer temperatures. Simply add this item to your shopping cart once and all ordered items that need to be protected from heat will be additionally wrapped in insulating foil with cooling pads so that cooling is guaranteed for approx. 36 - 48 hours during the shipping time of your parcel.
For large orders with many heat-sensitive items, we recommend that you add the cooled shipment to your shopping cart several times so that we can use more cooling pads.
The reusable mini cooling pads from World-Bio have a PE backing and a cloth on the other side, they are placed in water for approx. 10 minutes to swell the granules they contain, then dried and frozen for approx. 8 hours.
When defrosting during the shipping time, no water escapes, the pads become flat and you can put them back in water, dry them and freeze them to reuse them for lunch boxes, for example.
Please note:
Nevertheless, when ordering heat-sensitive goods in the summer months, we recommend always selecting express delivery despite refrigerated shipping, so that continuous cooling of the goods can be guaranteed. We accept no responsibility for goods that have melted during shipping.
